Our WorkOur Work

The organs in this section are representative of our work over a period of 25 years, including recent installations, and are arranged from top to bottom according to size. Additional organs are included in the opening editorials, as well as the Collaborations section.

Speaking authoritatively with an "Anglican" accent, the new Rich Family Memorial Organ replaces a Moller instrument installed when the building was new. Enclosed in a self-contained case in the center of the balcony, the smaller footprint of the new organ has freed up considerable space for additional seating and other instruments.

The stoplist, based on our earlier organ at Waverly Road Presbyterian Church, in Kingsport, Tennessee, includes two additional special stops. The 8' Flute Harmonique occupies its traditional place on the Great, but is also added to the Swell to broaden that division for choral accompaniment. And used with the strings, it makes a hauntingly beautiful solo stop.

The 8' Grand Trumpet is a short-compass stop on 6" windpressure. With English shallots, it is quite useful for solos, but may also be used to broaden the whole organ in a manner truly described by its name.

If you have ever wondered how an organ gets into a balcony, click on the picture for several more shots of the installation.

"The organ is incredible. The sound grows from a faint whisper to a grand, dignified authority that rolls through the nave. I expect this to be a very successful demo organ for you in the future."
