Consoles
The console is the control center of every organ, and like all the mechanical parts of our organs, we are proud to have built every one of our consoles in house since we first went into business in 1969. Solid, handsome, well laid out, as low as possible, and always adhereing to AGO dimensions, we get many compliments on the way they look, feel and respond to the touch.

We offer three basic types of registration. The Tilting Tablet style, frequently used on smaller organs, has the stop controls located over the top manual.

The French-terraced and English drawknob styles have the stops disposed to the sides of the manuals, either in horizontal rows slightly angled toward the player, or in vertical rows at an angle of about 45 degrees. The inter-manual couplers generally appear as tilting tablets over the top manual, but can be included in the drawknob jambs, depending on the size of the organ.

A variety of case styles are available in contemporary or traditional design, made from the wood of your choosing, and finished as you desire.

Our standard key coverings are a combination of maple for the naturals and rosewood for sharps. Rendering a distinctive appearance with good tactile feel, they retain the traditional white/black relationship preferred by most organists.

We also offer thick, beveled faux ivory or bone coverings for the naturals keys.

In certain circumstances plastic coverings are available for economy's sake. Regardless of the covering, all keys are beveled and polished in English 8-cut style, and are outfitted with our exclusive suspended magnetic tracker-feel touch, and optic contact system.

Pedal keyboards, also made in our shop, feature gold contacts mounted inside the console case where they cannot be damaged by falling pencils or paper clips.

Operating at lightning-fast speed, our solid-state relay and combination system is completely integrated into the console without the use of unattractive accessory controls and plates. Connection to the organ is a single fiber-optic strand, and standard features include multiple levels of piston memory, record and playback capability, transposing and MIDI interface.

In addition to providing consoles for our new organs, we are frequently called upon to replace existing consoles that have come to the end of their useful life. Your inquiries are invited.
